Description
Need a family get-away? Or, how about some quality time with your significant other? Our lake home may be perfect for you. Built in 2006, this three bedroom, two bathroom home is perfect for one or two families (or couples) looking for some rest and relaxation & some quality time together. Inside, the home is accentuated by large windows, a loft, and clear finished pine siding. The main living area has a stone and gas fireplace along with a view of the lake through a double sliding glass door to the deck. The kitchen has custom cabinets and hard wood floors. Our master suite on the second level has a large king size bed and jacuzzi tub. The loft holds a set of bunk beds, couch & chair, and is perfect for quiet reading. The main level provides the second bathroom and two private bedrooms (one with a queen bed, the other with two sets of bunk beds). Location: Spooner, Wisconsin (Spooner 14 miles, Siren 12 miles, Hayward 38 miles) Accomodations: Lake Home - 3 bedrooms + loft - 2 baths (sleeps 10 in beds) Stay: One week (7 consecutive days, and six nights) any week of the summer from June 12th-August 23rd 2009 (excluding June 26th-July 5th). Dates of stay must be confirmed 30 days prior to arrival.
If you are looking for privacy, this is it! We are on 2.5 wooded acres with a babbling creek to our West and over 150 feet of shoreline. Set back on the lot, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the lake and lot with the added privacy from fisherman and immediate neighbors. Our home is located on the quiet, SW end of the lake, situated at the end of a private cul-de-sac, with absolutely no neighbors to the West (our home is literally across the creek from nearly one hundred acres of privately owned, undeveloped land). The home is located on Big McKenzie Lake. It is a 1200 acre, clear water lake that is 71' deep and very sandy. Imagine fishing, swimming, sailing, kayaking, power-boating, or just relaxing near the water before walking back to the house for dinner on the deck. Or, if you prefer, grill burgers and hot dogs down at the beach over the open fire pit and watch the Bald Eagles dive for fish (Eagle sightings are a regular occurrence). Afterwards, soak up the gorgeous sunsets from the dock and enjoy wonderful star gazing after dark.
If you bring your boat (or decide to rent) the Washburn County public landing is only 10 minutes away. If you get tired of Tubing/Canoeing/Kayaking/Swimming on our lake, try the Namekagon River, a National Park, which is only 10 miles away (to Howell Landing). Voyager Village golf, tennis, and restaurant are only 8 miles away. One of the best restaurants around, McKenzie Landing, is located on our lake just North and East across the lake. Both Siren and Spooner are only 20 minutes away with quaint shops, restaurants, miniature golf, go-carting, and movie theaters. The Twin Cities are less than a two hour drive (115 Miles), Duluth is 75 miles, Hayward is 38 miles, Spooner is 14 miles, Cable is 50 miles, Webb Lake and Trego are each about 11 Miles away.
