Julie Ferguson handsculpts her little dolls from alpaca and sheep fibers. Using heavy gauge needles, she "felts" them, binding the fibers with each puncture. The texture of the fibers and the way the colors swirl around the figures create whimsy and delight. Each doll is unique and lovingly crafted. Julie intentionally leaves the faces without features, inviting the beholder's imagination to fill in the blanks. The dolls beg to be touched—their hair is a cloud of curly silken fibers, and their bodies are sculpted to the hand. Suitable for lucky children and adults alike.

This little doll is fashioned from rich eggplant and blue fibers, and sports a reddish beard that curls and tumbles down to the middle of the torso. It has a wonderful gnome-like androgyny that appeals to any imagination. 6.25" tall.
