Ken Albert established Shelburne Vineyard in 1998. Joined shortly thereafter by fellow winemaker Scott Prom, they proceeded to fulfill a lifelong dream: to produce quality wines in this beautiful state.

The Vineyard's vines are carefully selected form both classic noble grapes and varieties newly developed for their ability to produce wines of premium taste and quality. Nurtured in vineyards only steps from the shores of Lake Champlain, the grapes are picked by hand and pressed on the premises. Ken and Scott then ferment and blend the wines to achieve the quality that has brought the Vineyard national and international acclaim. With one of the vineyards organically certified by the Northeast Organic Farming Association, Shelburne Vineyard is proud to be able to offer several wines exclusively from organically grown Vermont grapes.
