Manhattan Youth Ballet is a performance-based ballet academy using a graded syllabus in the tradition of the great ballet academies of Europe.  Our Core Curriculum is taught in eight levels, each of which has a specific set of skills that the student must achieve in order to advance to the next level. The physical and artistic well-being of the student is the main consideration for determining level placement.  It is not unusual to spend more than one year in the same level.
