The solo project of Kevin Hoskin, instructor of the winemaking program at Barossa Valley’s famed Nuriootpa High School, this limited production, 100% Shiraz (made from 100-year old vines) exhibits admirable depth and ripeness along with an earthy, forceful personality. There is considerable substance and power to this muscular Shiraz, but it was not displaying its full glory, being somewhat closed and unforthcoming. Nevertheless, there is a lot to this wine, which undoubtedly needs additional bottle age in order for the aromatics to fully develop. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2015.
