Description
The Capitol is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met here for more than two centuries. Begun in 1793, the Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended, and restored; today, it stands as a monument not only to its builders but also to the American people and their government.
You will experience a tour of the Capitol for six (6) given personally by U.S.Congressman, Minnesota 3rd District (and E.H.S.I. parent), Erik Paulsen. . Your experience will include lunch in the Congressional Dining Room.
If you visit when the House is in session, your Congressional passes will allow you to view our government in action from the House Gallery. Children in your party may accompany Congressman Paulsen onto the House floor during voting (if possible).
This once in a lifetime political science class is not to be missed!
