Description

A private tour for up to 4 people of Baltimore's Garrett Jacobs Mansion and Tiffany Glass with Mr. Edward Heimiller, Smithsonian Institutes researcher on the building's Tiffany collection.  The tour will be held on October 7, 2009 from 6 to 7 pm, followed by a light refreshment of wine and cheese.

With 40 rooms, 100 windows, and 16 fireplaces, not to mention its own theatre, supper room with a musician's balcony, and Tiffany glass skylight, the Garrett-Jacobs Mansion is the largest and grandest townhouse Baltimore has yet produced.  The building is actually the combination of four separate houses and took 32 years to complete and is likely the only building in the country where renowned architects Stanford White and John Russell Pope both worked (at separate times).  Please join Mr. Edward Heimiller on a tour of the building and its extensive collection of Tiffany glass.  Mr. Heimiller is a researcher at the Smithsonian Institutes who has worked to document the glass in the building.  Baltimore Heritage and Garrett-Jacobs Mansion Endownment Fund would love to welcome you on this intimate tour of the building.

Special Instructions

Valid only for Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 6 to 7 pm.  Includes a light refreshment of wine and cheese.  Four people.  Not handicapped accessible.
