You will get the Presidential treatment during this special tour of The Hermitage, Home of President Andrew Jackson, located in Nashville, TN.  This extraordinary 1,120-acre National Historic Landmark is a Save America’s Treasures site.  The package includes a private behind-the-glass tour of the beautiful Greek Revival-style mansion, completed in the 1830s while Jackson was in the White House.  Our CEO and Chief Curator will lead this special tour for a group of up to four people.  You will get access to areas “behind-the-glass” normally reserved only for major donors and VIPs where you see firsthand the mansion’s remarkable collection of original furniture, artwork, and personal items once owned by the man known as Old Hickory.  The package also includes a tour of the museum, grounds, garden, Jackson’s tomb, and an interpreted horse-drawn wagon “slavery tour” as well as a look at the log slave cabins as featured on HGTV’s Restore America program.  The private grounds tour will be led by our experienced senior staff.  Your group will also receive a free meal in our café and a tote bag filled with special Hermitage souvenirs such as the latest Andrew Jackson biography by Jon Meacham, author and Newsweek editor.
