Description
A two night stay for two people at the West Baden Springs Hotel, a choice of spa services or golf on the Donald Ross Course at French Lick, and a guided tour of both the West Baden Spring Hotel and the French Lick Springs Hotel.
Built in 1902, the West Baden Springs Hotel was a magnificent site. Featuring a six-story domed atrium, the resort drew celebrities from all around the country. Well-known patrons to the hotel were "Diamond Jim" Brady and Al Capone. Professional baseball teams such as the Chicago White Sox and Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds held spring training on the baseball field located on the 250 acres that made up the property. Suffering some decades of neglect, it has undergone extensive restoration and opened as a hotel in May 2007 for the first time since 1932. The hotel holds approximately 246 luxury rooms/suites, restaurant, bar and spa. The hotel’s natatorium, long missing from the landscape, was faithfully reconstructed, based on historic photographs of the structure.
A mile away is the French Lick Springs Hotel. Established in 1845, with the original east wing built in 1901, French Lick Springs Hotel attracted guests from around the world to experience the "miracle waters" of its nearby sulfur springs. Now this classic hotel has been restored to its famed charm and grandeur. From the distinct mosaic and marble flooring to a 109,000 square foot Conference & Event Center, this hotel has something everyone can enjoy.
