This smooth wine is deep red with black hues. It has aromas of violets, cassis, plums and dark cherries layered with dusty earth, bay leaf, cedary oak and sage. The palate is powerful, round and rich. It has a sweet fruit center showing ripe fruit flavors of blueberries, framboise, blackcurrant and dark cherry. The mouth feel is soft yet displays tannins with a silky-velvety, supple finish. Perfectly paired with prime rib or porterhouse steak...so call some friends and have a dinner party!
