The handsomely designed art book on folk craft of fossil and walrus tusks carving was donated by Barnes & Noble of Waco, Texas. It has 160 pages with more than 200 illustrations, reviews, informative text and catalog.
Traditions of the bone-carving art can be traced back to the 17th century in wide area of Russia, from White Sea cost (European Russia) to Asian Russia - Siberia (Eskimo, Chukchi, Yakut people). This is a very nice book for collectors and lovers of ivory carving.
