Frayda and her husband Aaron Galvin both are skilled photographers, exhibiting their photographs in Florida, as well as on Martha’s Vineyard, MA. They have entered their work in Vineyard shows for the last several years and in every show entered have each taken several awards, including a number of First Places. In 2007, Aaron took the Best in Show at the annual All Island Art Show.
In 2005 they had a dedicated gallery show at the Featherstone Center for the Arts on the Vineyard that featured more than seventy photographs depicting various aspects of Vineyard life. Their work is available for sale by several Vineyard galleries.
During 2005-2006, Frayda joined Women in the Visual Arts in Boca Raton, Florida, and took First Prize in Photography in a juried show there. She and her husband Aaron also are members of the Artists Guild of the Boca Raton Museum of Art and have displayed their photographs at the Guild’s juried shows.
Aaron has been teaching a number of courses in Digital Photography at two art schools, as well as on several cruise ships.
In 2006, Frayda entered the All Florida Juried Competition sponsored by the Boca Raton Museum of Art, and was one of thirty-five artists chosen from 350 to have their work displayed at the Museum. In 2008, they had a dedicated exhibit of seventy-eight of their photographs at a library in Delray Beach, Florida.
Frayda and Aaron attend the Masters Photography Workshop run by the Boca Art Museum School.
