 "I have been a painter all of my life, never wanted to be anything else. I opened my gallery in 1983, first in Edgartown, then moved to West Tisbury in 1987. After many years as an art dealer, I began exhibiting only my own work in 2005.
 Living on the Vineyard turned me into a landscape painter. It is so beautiful here. Observing the changing colors, the seasons, the effects of light and weather, the relationships of shapes in the landscape, exploring the process and craft of making art - all of it is endlessly appealing. So is being outside in a beautiful place doing what I love. My friend, Leslie Baker, and I paint together often; one of us will always comment, "We have the best life in the world." Truly we do.
 I usually do a small painting outside in a few hours. Often that serves as an inspiration for a larger studio piece. Please feel free to visit the gallery/studio (open daily 11-5.)"
