Don't miss your chance to become a piece of art! Artist Melora Griffis will create a fully commissioned portrait painting using a variety of paint styles and techniques.
Melora has had 11 solo shows of her work at galleries in New York and Los Angeles. Her work is in the collections of Alec Baldwin, Mario Batali, Tom and Kathy Freston, Tea Leoni, Alexina Matisse, Beatrix Ost, Brenda Siemer and Roy Scheider, Kathryne Erbe, and Linda Yablonsky. She is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and a recipient of an Albee Foundation grant in 2008. Melora has been commissioned to paint portraits of over 200 people.
Special Instructions
The winner and the artist will arrange a time that works for both parties to come to the studio (located in the Chelsea district of Manhattan) for the sitting. Sitting time varies from two to six hours. On occasion, a second sitting is needed. The portrait will be completed and can be picked up in approximately 10 days. The work will be oil on canvas and approximately 24x20 or 36x24. Expires April 2, 2010.
