Pale yellowish to light green stone, sometimes resembling jade but prehnite often displays a unique glow or sheen.
Main source Australia, Scotland, South Africa. Named after Hendrik Van Prehn, a dutchman who brought prehnite from Africa to Europe in the late 1700s.
