Completely Designed and created in my Chicago Studio. My process involves creating the artwork from a sketch (or in the case of the typography, simply on the computer) and then outputting the artwork onto recycled newsprint and antique book pages. From there, I cut up the pieces of paper and collage them to a canvas, layering the pieces, adding ink, sealer, pastels and other elements to create a textured, layered, and worn looking piece.
