Kimberly has received awards as one of Maryland's top portrait photographers.  Three times she was awarded the Best Portrait of a Child in an annual state convention.  For 1996, 1997 and 1998 she was awarded Portrait Photographer of the Year.  In ’97 she also received the Court of Honor Award and Meyer Rivkind Portrait of the Year Award.  These two awards are given in recognition of outstanding artistic ability in portraiture.  In 1998 and 1999 Kimberly received a Senate Resolution from the state of Maryland proclaiming her style of portraiture to be the best in Maryland.  Ms Phillips has also had her photography recognized by the Professional Photographers of America.  The International Association selected one of Kimberly’s prints to be featured in a traveling print exhibit of 50 works of photography.  Four times, Kimberly has also been awarded the distinguished Fuji Masterpiece Award recognizing artistic portraiture around the world. In 2004 Kimberly won the nationally coveted AN-NE from PP of A for her promotional campaign raising money for Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. Ms. Philips has also received her Master Craftsman of Photography degree from the Professional Photographers of America.
