Originally from the Gulf Coast town of League City, Texas, Kevin Tijerina comes from a family of artists and craftsmen. His style was honed by creating custom art and design for a variety of clients and needs from an early age. He is self-taught and his influences range from Alphonse Mucha to Ed “Big Daddy” Roth. Kevin Tijerina was a co-curator on the “Radical Nautical” art show at Gallery Lombardi which won the Austin Critic’s Table Award for Best Group Show 2008. He currently resides in South Austin with his family where he creates out of his home studio/ workshop. This painting is acrylic on canvas.
