Description
Whalewatching? Wineries? Berry-picking? Crashing waves? You choose.
Bandon has it all. Depending on what time of year you go, you can spot whales or pick buckets of blueberries. Go during mushroom season and buy chanterelles for five bucks a pound and cook them in the wine you just bought at one of the fabulous wineries a hour and a half away. Go during the winter storms and watch the waves crest impossibly high against the cliffs -- and then go back to the house and curl up by the fire. And year round you can walk and walk and walk on the beach.
The house you'll be staying in for up to one week: one block from the beach, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, sleeps nine comfortably (one bedroom has two queens, the small loft has a futon). Two fireplaces, full kitchen, small balcony, great sheets, nooks, crannies, privacy, several seasons of the Simpsons DVDs, piles of books, and everywhere the sound of the sea. Note that there will be some restrictions on dates, but generally flexible.
