Carol lives and paints in rural Sonoma county in northern California. Her house and studio/barn are in an area populated by horses, sheep, dairy cows and small vineyards. She is surrounded  by nature’s tranquil beauty and bucolic simplicity which she often uses for inspiration in her work.

She is mainly self-taught and, as a youngster, showed a natural talent for making figure sketches that captured the subtle nuances and moods of the subjects. She was able to continue her artistic growth only sporadically over the intervening years.
