Description
Gorgeous painting generously donated by the artist, Dr. Cathy Chan, of snow on bamboo. Ink and color on rice paper, silk mounted and framed abroad, the finished work measures 24 inches by 50 inches.
Dr. Chan notes: "Bamboo is one of the favorites of Chinese scholastic paintings. Bamboo withstands the cold of winter to maintain the upright posture. Bamboo may be bent by harsh snow or wind, but forever regains the up-lifting gesture. It’s out-reach for the sky with energy, youth, and vitality also brings blessings and well-wishes for "success" to whomever owns the painting."
