Description

Engraved by Norman E. Nemeth and struck from brilliant 90% silver, this stunning coin, courtesy of International Currency, features the raising of an American flag by the United States Marines atop Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima. Taken on February 23, 1945, it is believed to be the most reproduced image in the history of photography. The coin's reverse features the Eagle, Globe and Anchor, official emblem of the United States Marine Corps.

The coin has a brilliant mirror-like finish and was created in a specialized minting process. The Marine Corps 230th Anniversary Silver Dollars are extremely limited so bid now to avoid disappointment!
