The Store Behind Frida's

The food and vision behind Frida's Taqueria and Grill is inspired by the spirit of Frida Kahlo (1907-1954), a famous Mexican painter known for her intimate self-portraits, her surreal imagery, and her use of elements from Mexican folk art. After a crippling trolley accident, Frida spent most of her life bedridden and in pain. She said, "I am not sick. I am broken. But I am happy as long as I can paint."
