Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana is proud to offer the opportunity for a child in the Louisville area to attend a week-long summer day camp utilizing JA's award-winning programs!

JA BizTown Camp

At this camp, the kids run the place. That's because the place is JA BizTown, a 7,000 square-foot mini-metropolis. JA BizTown is home to Papa John's, Stock Yards Bank, UPS, Mainline Radio, WDRB Fox-41 and other businesses you find in our own region. Now as a summer camp experience, JA is opening up the town for kids 9-12 years old to give them a chance to find out what it takes to manage a city and run a business.

JA Young Entrepreneurs Camp

JA's Young Entrepreneurs will learn what it takes to be the Bill Gates of their generation. They will find out what it means to be an entrepreneur, how to develop a business plan from idea creation to advertising their products, and how businesses sometimes have to make tradeoffs when resources are limited. They will work in teams to simulate the production of a new toy while learning presentation skills and how production costs and product demand affect profit and loss. Our young entrepreneurs will learn that success is not magic, but is the result of being prepared. Because many successful entrepreneurs also choose to give back to their communities, campers will also learn about the importance of philanthropy.

These two day camp experiences are for kids ages 9-12 (entering grades 5-7). Half-day sessions are available for either camp, or kids can stay the full day to experience both camps.

Camp dates are June 21-25 or July 12-16. Full-day camp sessions run from 9:00am – 4:30pm for the week (lunch from 12:30-1:00). Campers should bring a sack lunch.

JA's summer camps are held at the James W. Robinson Junior Achievement Center for Freedom of Enterprise, 1401 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd, Louisville.
