The 2006 Pine Ridge Vineyards Stag's Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley - a mix of 87% Cabernet, 8% Malbec and 5% Merlot grapes - has a deep ruby-purple hue that indicates the intensity and depth of this youthful wine.  The lush nose of dark cherry, cassis, blueberry and smoke melds smoothly into the youthful palate.  Dense dark cherry and berry fruit, cocoa and tobacco notes balance the substantial, fine-grained tannins for a sumptuously full-bodied wine.  This wine can be enjoyed now with a 30-minute decanting, or can be cellared for 10 to 15 years.  Pairs well with deeply flavored dishes like espresso-rubbed tenderloin or herbed lamb but also has the grace and delicacy to accompany simple grilled pork or chicken.
