This year’s project was closely tied into the curriculum and was also personal to our class.  Aftersome brainstorming with the 1st and 2nd grade students we decided to create acultural cookbook.  Each child hastwo pages in the book. 1 page, designed by the child, includes the name of hisor her country of choice, 3-4 fun facts about that country, and its flag whichthey drew and colored. The 2nd page include 3 recipes from that culture and thestudent's picture proudly displaying his/her completed meal. The children madeeach recipe at home with a family member and shared them with the otherstudents in the class. We forward to sharing our amazing recipes with you!
