With a blower door, manometer, smoke puffer and infrared camera we can measure the air leaks in your home or building, and locate the areas where sealing and insulating will be most cost effective.

1. Walk thru with no blower door test and no report. $125
2 Blower door and infrared thermography with no written report. $200
3. Blower door and infrared thermography with written report including prioritized list of recommended retrofits. $400
4. Full Maine Home Performance level Audit with blower door test, infrared thermography, combustion safety testing addressing indoor air quality concerns, and post retrofit blower door test to asses performance of work completed. $600

Midcoast is a distributor for Fomo products availible for Do It Yourself projects, and can help with education on installation. We also can act as a general contractor for your retrofit project, handling all subcontractor details and ensuring quality installation.

For NEW construction:

With a building shell complete, and before insulation is installed, blower door guided air sealing can be very effective in creating an airtight structure. Attaining low air exchange per hour in your project can lead to achieving the Energy Star rating (HERS rating) and a numerical score (HERS Index) permanently attached to the building that will add value to the home or building in todays energy conscious climate.
