Historic Inns of Rockland - Sleep Inn, Dine Out Package - Berry Manor Inn

Recognized among the top eco-friendly inns in the country by BedandBreakfast.com, this avant-garde group of innkeepers is taking progressive to the next level, partnering with local chef-owned restaurants specializing in local fare to provide a one-of-a-kind progressive dinner and getaway. Continuing through May, 2010, Historic Inns of Rockland's Sleep Inn, Dine Out package combines a fresh taste of Rockland with a relaxing and romantic overnight getaway.

The Sleep Inn, Dine Out Package, offered non-holiday/event Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday nights November, 2009 through May, 2010, includes a progressive dinner at three restaurants with a specially created tasting menu, featuring signature selections prepared from locally grown or homemade ingredients. Starting at 6:00pm, diners choose from three local restaurants all serving locally-oriented fare. Participating restaurants include:

• Café Miranda

• In Good Company

• Amalfi on the Water

• Rustica Cucina Italiana

• Lily Bistro.

The evening will conclude with a romantic overnight stay at the Berry Manor Inn. Guests will be encouraged to sleep in the following morning and plan to catch the tail end of the breakfast seatings (as late as 9:30am). Knowing that locavores are foodies dedicated to consuming locally grown foods, the Historic Inns of Rockland will include a copy of their recently published cookbook, Inn-Dulgences, featuring recipes from all four inns too. Your overnight Sleep Inn, Dine Out package is valued at $245 and includes:

• One night stay on non-holiday/event Wednesday, Thursday or Friday nights in a king room with sitting area, fireplace and a private bath with a whirlpool tub with shower (may be oversized whirlpool tub for 2 based on availability at time of booking).

• Specially prepared progressive "Rockland Dine Around" dinner for two (beverages and gratuity not included).

• Full and hearty gourmet breakfast for two.
