This is a fantastic handmade Nantucket Lightship Basket, handmade by Bob Rosenberg of Manchester, CT.  This basket has all the characteristics of a basket made during the period from 1850 to 1875.  On the wooden bottom, the basket has been signed by Bob with the date that he completed it and the basket serial number.  The circumference of the basket is 8 and 1/4 inches and it stands 5 inches high.  This will make a wonderful addition to your home or basket collection.
