Visit, explore, and/or hunt at the Arlitt Ranch for 3 separate weekends from September 2010 through May 2011.  The Arlitt Ranch shares the property line with the Lost Maples State Park, five minutes from Vanderpool, Texas.  The headwater springs for the Sabinal River are located on the ranch which has never been grazed or developed.  Multiple endangered species of plants and animals as well as a variety of exotic animals and native Texas wildlife roam these rugged 200 acres of nature preserve.  The ranch has not been hunted for 6 years.  The winning bidder may choose to camp out on property, or book rooms at Foxfire Cabins, a 5 minute drive away.

Special Instructions


  • Rooms at Foxfire Cabins at bidder's expense. 

  • If hunting, up to two hunters and two non-hunting guests with limits per hunter of one exotic, one whitetail deer, one turkey and as many wild boar as desired (limits are for all three hunts combined). 

  • If winner wants to simply explore and enjoy the ranch, bring as many guests as you would like. 

  • Please, no fires and absolutely no removal of Indian artifacts or fossils. 

  • The winners will choose three mutually agreed upon dates with the ranch owner who will be on hand upon arrival to familiarize the group with the property and provide history and insight of the land.
