Description

Never seen Red Square?  Here's your chance!  Abbey alum Robert Bond ('01) is offering a 3 bedroom apartment in the  'Zamoskvareche' (which means 'across the Moscow river' from the Kremlin) neighborhood.   This section is the only part of the city that was not significantly destroyed under Stalin to construct large communal apartments, and, because of that fact, has the highest concentration of centuries old Orthodox churches.  It's an easy walk to the Kremlin, Tretyakov gallery, and Gorky Park.  Short taxi or metro ride to all tourist spots in the city.  This recently renovated apartment sleeps five comfortably, has internet access and is located in an extremely safe neighborhood.  Other perks include airport pick-up and drop-off, two days of sightseeing with a private tour guide, one evening tour, and a Russian cell phone during your stay.  Donor will make reservations in advance for visiting the circus, museums, Cold War bunkers, Bolshoy Theater, local monasteries, restaurants and night clubs, etc., as well as helping to arrange travel and lodging in St Petersburg, should you decide to take a side trip there while in country.  Perfect vacation for several single travelers or a memorable family vacation!  (NOTE:  Current round-trip airfares are a reasonable $580 per person!)
