Description

Amelia Ceja, is Founder/President of Ceja Vineyards (not to mention matriarch of the Ceja family) , one of the first Latino owned wineries in Napa. Amelia has many years of experience on the wine production side having actually met her future husband in 1967 while picking Merlot grapes behind Robert Mondavi's house when she was twelve years old.
Our Vineyards are located approximately 40 miles northeast of San Francisco; the Carneros Region’s moderate climate is created by fog, moist air, and cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean. Protected from harsh weather by the Coastal Range, Carneros summer days are warm with cool nights and winters are mild. As a result, grapes stay on the vine longer, reaching high acidity and full flavor development.

Aroma: Pear, citrus, lemon and green apple invigorate the senses!
Palate: Fresh, crisp and tangy. Extended sur lee aging provides rich and creamy qualities.
Overall Impression: Lean and refreshing, this wine showcases classical Carneros fruit.
Aging Process: Sur lee aged 14 months in French barrels.
