Educational or Gifted Evaluation

Item Number: 827
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Does your child have any learning strengths or weaknesses you want to understand better? An educational evaluation will assess your child’s cognitive (IQ) and academic abilities. This is useful for children who are bright or gifted and/or struggling with their academic demands. Many children are “dually exceptional,” which means that while they are cognitively gifted or very bright, they may still have a specific learning difficulty. The educational evaluation will include a feedback session, as well as a detailed report with recommendations and learning strategies.
As noted, the evaluation consists of cognitive (IQ) and academic testing, and no additional charges will be made nor will your insurance company be billed for anything. The Educational Evaluation is not a complete neuropsychological evaluation. If you are seeking a complete neuropsychological evaluation for other issues (ADHD, executive functioning, organizational issues, developmental disorders, memory issues, etc.), $1,500 will be deducted from any cost that is not covered or paid by insurance.
The evaluation needs to be scheduled by November 14, 2010, although the actual appointment may be on a later date. Please note that we are sometimes booking a few months in advance.
