Description

Cartographic Trip Down Memory Lane. Follow the history of Brimmer and May with this rare matched set of five original antique 1888 maps showing each of the original Beacon Hill and Back Bay locations of the early Brimmer and May schools as they grew individually and eventually combined into the Brimmer and May School that we know and love today. Starting with Miss Folsom’s school on Chestnut Street, Beacon Hill to the multiple locations around Back Bay and Beacon Hill, as well as the original location of the Brimmer School, a former horse carriage manufacturing facility on the flats of Beacon Hill.  These maps originally appeared in the official Atlas of the City of Boston, published by G.W. Bromley & Co. Framed in UV glass and conservation-quality frames, each map approximately 20” X 30” -- See them at the auction!

This is a Live Event Item.
