Description

The Japanese-Royal Warrant Arita Porcelain Company’s (TSUJI-SEIJISYA) Serving Plates (2 items)

This company has more than 350 years history as the First-Royal Warrant Porcelain company in ARITA.

To commemorate the establishment of the sister-city relationship between Meissen and Arita, this company’s plate was given to Meiseen as the representative Arita-Porcelain china.

ARITA is famous city for Porcelain companies including KAKKIEMON, KOIMARI and NABESHIMA.

Originally, this TUSJI-SEIJISYA made porcelain dishes only for the Royal family and for this reason those dishes were very precious items for general public in Meiji-period (1868-1912).

Also, this company uses the extra best porcelain clay and only this company has kept the permission to use this special clayas a Royal Warrant kiln.
