Elephant Footprint - Tempra on Watercolor Paper

Nearly 9500 pounds of force creates this fascinating print as Hadari, Nashville Zoo's 27 year old African elephant places her left front foot on paper.  The crevices of her foot create sweeping lines of brown and dark amber as the rest is filled with purples, pinks and a touch of gold sparkle.  The piece is surrounded by a classic black core white mat and beautiful brown-gold wood.  On the back is a descriptive anatomy of the artist's foot.
