E. Swasey & Company was owned by Eben and Fred D. Swasey and George Young (l89l-l897). They made wholesale crockery & glassware at 273 Commercial St., Portland, Maine. 

This item is a #2 E. Swasey & Co. Stoneware Jug measuring approxmately 10.5" tall x  7.5" diameter without lid.  In good condition aside from small chipping on lip and bottom of handle, some glaze imperfections, and paint on bottom.
