Once again, Tri for a Cure sold out in record time - eight minutes. And you missed out on the opportunity to participate in this all women's sprint triathlon to benefit the Maine Cancer Foundation. You are in luck, Tri for a Cure volunteer and CCC staff member Jennifer Nelson has donated her spot to the CCC's 7th annual online auction.
About the course:
This fabulous seaside event is held at the Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) campus in South Portland and includes a 1/3 mile ocean swim in Casco Bay with Spring Point Headlight providing guidance, a 15 mile bike loop through gently rolling hills of South Portland and Cape Elizabeth and finally ends with a 3 mile run, much of which is along the ocean.
In addition to the race entry, the winning bidder can choose three of the following training sessions:
4/15 - Fueling Your Body for Training.
5/2 - Pre and Post Training Strategies to Keep You in Stride.
5/16 - Strength Training for Injury Prevention and Improved Performance.
5/23 - Bike Course Preview.
5/26 - Bike Course Preview.
6/24 & 6/26 - Transition Clinic.
7/18 & 7/22 - Swim Clinic.
8/10 - Race Day Prep Expo.
