Enjoy a tour for up to six people of Cowgirl Creamery's artisan cheesemaking facility in historic Petaluma, California, less than an hour north of San Francisco in beautiful, bountiful West Marin County. Cowgirl Creamery, started in 1997 in Point Reyes Station, makes prize-winning handcrafted cheeses from local organic milk.

On the hour-long tour, you'll learn how cheese is made and sample Cowgirl cheeses. You'll hear about the company and how and why it started. We'll explore the production process and you'll participate in a hands-on demonstration of making curd. Each visitor receives a bag of cheese samples to take home.

Tours take place on Wednesdays and need to be scheduled in advance by calling 866.433.7834. Package must be redeemed within one year and expires Nov. 20, 2010. Reservations must be booked at least 4 weeks in advance. Blackout dates include January 16 - 20, 2010. Bidder pays any shipping charges.
