First opened in 1861, the Mt. Washington Auto Road was America’s first man-made attraction. Even now, nearly 150 years later, the drive up New England’s highest peak is the adventure of a lifetime. With ever-changing weather conditions and breathtaking scenery, no two trips are exactly alike.

Drive your own vehicle up the Auto Road or take one of the 1 ½ hour guided tours in an Auto Road Stage which includes a 30 minute stay on the summit. The choice is yours with this pass for one. Just stop by the ticket office and chose the adventure that’s right for you. The Auto Road remains open until weather conditions prohibit. Guided tours are available 8:30am to 5pm, weather permitting. It is always advised to call ahead as weather conditions can change rapidly.
