California Adventure Camps is presented by: The Walnut Creek Sports Association

The Bay Area Explorer's Adventure Day Camp (ages 9-14) program is an exclusively mobile,  exciting, high adventure exploration of Bay Area and Northern California fun spots.  Our exciting summer program includes: Regular trips to Water World and Discovery Kingdom along with other Northern California fun spots and activities like Horseback Riding, Bowling, Movies, Roller Skating, Mini Golf, Lake Temescal, Windsurfing ( with expert instruction), Rock Climbing,  Exciting Beach Trips and more.

Our exciting Junior Explorers Program (ages 5-8) includes age appropriate trips to Northern California fun spots like The Exploratorium, Steinhart Aquarium, Lawrence Hall of Sciences, Chabot Space and Science Center, Mini Golf, Bowling, Movies,  Boating,  Ice Skating, Mini Golf, Tilden Park,  Lake Temescal, The S.F. and Oakland Zoos, The USS Hornet, Exciting Beach Trips and more.

Our most popular Skateboard Camp (ages 6-16) kids enjoy perfecting their craft at local area skate parks that include: Walnut Creek, Concord, Benicia, San Ramon, Martinez, Dublin, Pleasanton,  Berkeley and Alameda.  Novice skaters will receive coaching from some of the best local skaters.

Television Production Camp (ages 9-16) Campers will learn the ropes of Television Production both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.  It's a progressive journey from learning about the equipment and storyboarding to the final finished production.... a video show that could be shown on KIDs T.V.! 

Movie Production Camp (ages 9-16) Campers will be organized into smaller groups and learn and participate in the complete process of movie making from screenplay, storyboarding, scene development, acting, directing, post production, editing and production of their very own commemorative DVD of their group’s debut film.  Field trips to various Bay Area locations (local) for movie scenes are included as well.

Newsroom/Journalism Camp (ages 9-16) Budding journalism stars will be organized into news show related groups (News, Weather, Sports and Advertising) and learn and participate in the overall process of creating and producing a news show and at the end of the camp the team as a whole will produce and edit their very own 30 minute news broadcast and take home their very own commemorative DVD.  Field trips to local news hot spots like City Hall, Fire Stations, Sports Fields etc. are included.

Summer Youth Sports Camps (ages 5-13) offer expert, fun instruction in a wide array of popular youth sports.  These camps are designed not only to teach players the skills necessary to perform in their sport but to offer age appropriate building of athletic ability and conditioning.

Specialized Athletic Training Camps:

Building an Athlete (ages 9-16) Athletes participate in group and individual drills and conditioning programs that specifically target increased speed, agility and strength.  Special attention is given to creating and developing proper movement, recruiting and firing patterns of muscles for specific and general athletic performance.

Advanced Speed and Agility (ages 9-18) This camp is for serious athletes only who are willing to go the extra mile and are physically capable to take on the challenge to be better, faster and stronger.  This camp builds on the principles of our "Building an Athlete Camp" and incorporates the same training techniques and demands of professional athlete programs.

All Campers also enjoy traditional summer fun like swimming, games and other fun activities.
