An enjoyable true story of the author's childhood dog that seemed to always find his way into the Bristol, RI 4th of July Parade after mysteriously managing to get out of the house.

Mary Lou Palumbo wrote this story after the birth of her daughter.  Years later she read it to her twin granddaughters and was encouraged to publish the story.  The book is beautifully illustrated by Toby Mikle.
