Elaine Clements is irresistibly drawn by the call of the Southwest, its desert flowers, ruins and spiritual spaces.  She enjoys capturing the essence of the region while roaming New Mexico's side roads and arroyos searching for unique visions and images.

Although her formal art training was in oils, she moved on, first to photography and more recently to adding acrylic colored glazes to her digital creations on canvas.

Sunrise on Taos Mesa is a mixed media work and is #1 of a limited edition of 25. It's printed on archival canvas with HP Vivera 200 year ink and stretched.  She adds Golden acrylic paints which adds a depth to the digital print and, after several layers, seals the work with 4 coats of Golden Polymer Varnish. The work is 12" x 20" gallery wrapped.*

 *The painting continues around the edges of the stretcher bars - it can be framed but it is not necessary.
