Description
This is a rare chance to own an original oil by Taos icon and Fenix Gallery artist, Alyce Frank, at a drastically discounted purchase price!
Despite her late start as a painter, Alyce Frank now expresses in her art a unique vision of the beauty of the New Mexico landscape. Transfixed by this beauty when she and her family moved in the early 70's to an adobe morado built by the Penitentes in Arroyo Hondo (a small village outside of Taos), and influenced by Van Gogh, the Fauvists, and the Taos School artists, she began painting New Mexico landscapes in the bold colors and expressionist style which have become her trademark.
A hardcover in the New Mexico Magazine's Artist Series was published in 2000. "The Magic Realism of Alyce Frank," authored by Joseph Dispenza, discusses the work of this Taos icon who has carved a distinct niche for herself in the Southwest art scene.
You now have a special opportunity to bid on an Alyce Frank oil painting generously donated by the artist: "Flowers and Hopi Pot," 24" x 28" framed.
Alyce Frank is represented by Fenix Gallery in Taos. Visit their website to see more of her work: www.fenixgallery.com
