Description

Todd Tibbals has painted and taught in Albuquerque for over three decades.  New Mexico represents a glorious cultural halfway house between his midwestern roots and his Latin American experience.  His four years of Peace Corps work in Peru and Ecuador, a Masters Degree in Latin American history, and formal training as the Corcoran School of Art was instrumental in his emergence as a preeminent visual interpreter of the Latin American and southwestern realities.  The unadulterated light, home-spun colors, and undulant movements of the high Andean Indian markets are portrayed in his singular "fractured" style watercolors.

The winning bidder will go on a field trip to Todd's studio in Albuquerque's North Valley.  You will choose from select works and take home with you two paintings.  They will be unframed, most will be matted.  Todd is offering you a marvelous opportunity to acquire some beautiful art at an exceptionally reasonable price!

Todd Tibbals has garnered many awards while exhibiting his watercolors, oils, acrylics, and drawings in New Mexico, New York and throughout the country as well as Mexico and Italy.  MasterWorks of New Mexico honored Todd's many accomplishments at their 2009 show by presenting the Outstanding Achievement Award in his name.

*Please note: The accompanying photographs are samplings of Todd's work but are not included in the work offered for this auction.
