Have you ever experienced The Pit?  We're talking about the University of New Mexico's basketball arena during a Lobos Women's game.  Thousands of excited, sometimes screaming, sometimes stomping, always loyal fans. Pity the poor opposing teams.  A writer once likened a visiting team's experience in the Pit to "watching Roman gladiators emerging into a wall of sound!"

It's getting close to the season. The Lady Lobos are set to play a 29-game schedule, including 16 home games.  Six games will be aired on television including three inside The Pit.
