Alexa Babakhanian will provide a 40 minute one-on-one piano lesson at her home (West 86th Street) to a child or adult, ages 5 and up.

Alexa Babakhanian is a composer, pianist, singer and songwriter, and was on faculty at The Music Institute at Hackley School teaching children piano.  She holds Bachelor and Master degrees of Music in Piano Performance and Composition from the Juilliard School. She was a semi-finalist in the Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland. Ms. Babakhanian has also performed at Alice Tully Hall, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and La Scola D’Armeno, Italy. As a singer/songwriter, her song "In the Garden" was the most requested song in 1998 on WNYC (New Sounds).  Alexa Babakhanian's vocal performance of the original song "Scarlet Rose" was featured in CBS's series Cold Case and has built up a cult following.
