"The mysterious Kokopelli character, is found in the lore of several Native American cultures.  It is featured most prominently in the Anazasi culture of the "Four Corners" areas.  The figure represents a mischievous trickster or the Minstel, Spirit of music.  Kokopelli is distinguished by his dancing pose, an hunch back and flute.  His whimisical nature, charitable deeds and vital spirit give him a prominent position in North American Mysticism."
