Born and raised in Michigan, Jim Harrison's latest novel, The English Major, was released in November 2008. He is the author of thirty-two books including novellas, novels, poetry and three works of nonfiction. A new book of novellas, The Farmer's Daughter (Grove Press) will be released December 2009.
The winner of a Guggenheim Fellowship and many other honors, in 2007 he was inducted into the American Academy of Arts & Letters. His work has been published in twenty-seven languages. Jim Harrison divides his time between Montana and Arizona.
