Description
Artist's sewing machine becomes her brush, and the fabric and thread is the medium. The work starts with a photograph and then fabric is layered and stitched for each element of the piece. Thread and tulle are used as shading or accents.

Nancy Morgan is a native of the Seacoast area and now lives in Shapleigh Maine. While she has been sewing since she was a child, she was also a dancer at an early age. In college, she studied dance and costume design. Seven years ago she was introduced to the technique of free style quilting and discovered a way to combine her interest in sewing and her artistic skills.
